    • Jordan River
      • Some argue not enough water there to baptize someone
      • It is a small stream in places
      • Many places exist that are deep enough to immerse
    • Some believe John’s baptism was a metaphor, please walked in and got their feet wet
    • One of the reasons Jordan River is so small now is farmers using Jordan River for irrigation, and earthen dam
      • Things were different 2k years ago
  • Temple Mount
    • Where was Jesus with Nichodemas?
    • There were pools or baptistries around Temple Mount

John 4

Ancient well at base of Mt Ebal and Mt Gerizim, possibly the one
Woman said, On this mountain or in Jerusalem?

John 5

Pool of Bethesda
Verses 1-4 has 5 porches

Pool of Silomn (means sent)
Possible because water was sent to this pool
"Pilgrim's way"

Why did Jesus do it that way? We don't know
