Speaker Bio: Richard Melson

Richard D. Melson: native of Buffalo, NY and has preached the gospel since 1981. He serves as the evangelist at the Needmore Road church of Christ, Dayton, Ohio. He is a former elder in the Lord’s church. He was the preacher of the former Webster Street congregation from 1986 till its merger with the former Northridge congregation in 2019. He also is an instructor at the Central Carolina School of Preaching (Sumter, SC). He is host of Landmarks for Living, a radio program on 98.7 FM in Dayton.

Richard and Valerie (Miller) have been married since 1979 and have four children who are all members of the Lord’s church: Victoria (Michael), Rachel (Michael), Ashley (Patrick) and Richard, Jr. and have seven grandchildren. Campaign work in various countries, has spoken on numerous brotherhood lectureships and held many gospel meetings in various states over the years.

Richard Melson is a graduate of the Southern California School of Evangelism (Buena Park, CA); Honorary Graduate of Southwest School of Bible Studies (Austin, TX); attended SUNY Fredonia (Fredonia, NY); received his B.A. in Religion from the Summit Theological Seminary; (graduate work at Alabama Christian School of Religion, Cincinnati Bible College and Seminary, and Houston Graduate School of Theology earning the Master of Theological Studies degree (from Houston Graduate School of Theology); Master of Arts in Religious Education and Doctor of Religious Education degrees from The Theological University of America.
