Youth: "Do You Know Jesus?" by Ty Rhymes

He had a supernatural entrance into the world.
- John's gospel doesn't mention Jesus' supernatural birth
He was God in human flesh. (John 1:14)
- We aren’t perfect like Jesus
- Hebrews 1:3 Jesus was radiance of God’s glory
  - What sunlight is to the Sun
- Exact representation of God
  - God with us - Immanuel
He is the absolute standard of righteousness. (John 12:48)
He did things only God could do.
- Not just make claims, but did miracles
- Branches on a vine, Jesus/God is root
He died for our sins.
- John 19:4
- Jesus’ conversation with Pilate, Pilate found no fault
He proved himself to be true by rising from the dead.
- Tomb was sealed with big rock 🪨
- Appeared for the next 40 days
He will return one day.
- John 14 don’t let your heart me troubled…I’ve gone to prepare a place for you

Totally surrender
- John 21 - previously Peter and Jesus talk, Peter says I’ll die for you to Jesus
  - Peter jumps and swims to Jesus
  - Lord you know everything
  - Peter went from knowing about Jesus to knowing Jesus
Have an appetite
- John 4:34
  - Disciples urged Jesus to eat
  - Jesus was hungry for God and to do what God asked Him to do.
Be humble (self-aware) and honest
- John 4:22
  - Woman at the well
  - You worship what you don’t know
  - We worship what we know
- John 5:39-40
  - You have knowledge but don’t know
Bring Him your brokenness
- John 4:
- Woman at well
- Crossed cultural boundaries - big deal
- Jesus went to least likely person and embraces to give hope and life
- Looks at people even in their pain, not hesitant
- To heal the future must deal with brokenness of past
Know that Jesus understands
- John 11:35 - Jesus wept
- Because Lazarus was dead, Jesus was human too
- No one will understand our struggles like Jesus
Live for Jesus (all the time)
- People know you know Jesus by how you live
Stand for Him
- John 12
- Mary anoints Jesus’ feet
- In this example actually doesn’t stand but lays down.
- Cost a years salary

John 6:68
- Mass exodus from Jesus
- Jesus had said some hard passages
- Lord, to whom shall we go? We have come to know…. Peter
John 10:11,
- Jesus says he is the good shepherd
- I know my own and my own know me
- It matters we know Jesus, but also matters that Jesus knows me.
